Timber Volume & Value Estimates

The King Forestry staff has significant educational background and experience in collecting forest data and data analysis. Previous projects have used timber cruise data to estimate timber values for private landowners and industrial timber management firms and to assess ecological conditions relative to habitat requirements and permit conditions.

Timber volume and value estimates are important to landowners in that data generated by a timber cruise provides information on timber volume, growth and valuation. A timber cruise is also valuable in providing necessary data to comply with permitted wetland/upland enhancement. Cruising also provides pre-planning information on protected tree mitigation plans and offers ecological characterization such as habitat assessments for specific wildlife species. King Forestry’s site review includes estimations of mitigation costs relative to clearing of protected trees along with expertise regarding infestations of invasive and exotic species.
